Privacy

What we store

• Your email address, display name, and a hashed password.
• The obligations you enter: subscriptions, bills, and credit cards, including names, amounts, currencies, due dates, and any notes you add.
• Payment events you record, such as marking an obligation paid.
• Workspace membership and, for administrators, an audit log of platform changes.
• Your display preferences: timezone, locale, base currency, and date format.
• If you request early access: your email address, optional use case, consent version, request status, and creation date. A short-lived keyed hash of the requesting IP is used for rate limiting; the raw IP is not stored in the application request table.

Early access requests

The public request form is currently unavailable. Earlier requests, if any, remain only until their recorded expiry and scheduled cleanup.

What we deliberately do not store

• Full card or bank account numbers. Card records keep at most the last four digits, and the API rejects any attempt to submit a complete account number.
• Bank credentials. Duetide has no bank connection and cannot move money.
• Any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking identifiers.

Who can see your data

Your obligations are visible only to your own account. Duetide is self-hosted on infrastructure operated by the project owner; the database is not exposed to the public internet, and backups are encrypted before they leave the server. Email delivery for verification and password resets is handled by a transactional email provider, which receives your email address for that purpose only.

Export and deletion

You can download everything Duetide holds about you as JSON from Settings → Data & Security. The same screen deletes your account. Deletion removes your profile, obligations, events, and authentication records in a single transaction and cannot be undone. If you own a workspace that still has other members, transfer ownership first.
